Terms of the competition
Terms
Phase I:
- The inviter will not pay any expenses relating to the digital submission of first phase entries.
Phase II:
- Successful first phase entries will be asked to submit a model of their piece. A sum of 2,400 Euro will be paid to cover all expenses the artist may incur during the remainder of the competition.
- The sculpture shall be unique. Only one Artist Proof will be released – for a limited period. (Winning sculpture only.)
- The winner of the competition will receive an agreed award.
Submission material
Phase I:
The following material must be sumbitted:
- Skulpture sketch
Must be based on a theme from the Themes list (see Theme list) and be identified by a description of the text and page reference.
- The material must be weather resistent.
- Artist presentation: CV, documentation of earlier works (5-10 pictures), and references.
The material must be electronically sumbitted in one of the following formats: .pdf, .jpeg or MS Office Programme.
Phase II:
The following material must be sumbitted:
- Model of the sculpture (30-70cm) for entries selected by the jury
- Description of the materials used
- Details of the fixed budget
- Completion plan
- Bank acount information (IBAN and SWIFT)
Insurance/transportation costs
The artist is responsible for the model/sculpture until its confirmed receipt by the host of the competition. The host will then assume responsibility for the model/sculpture until it has been returned to the artist.
New competition
The jury is not committed to choosing/recommending one or any of the submitted designs for execution. If the jury judges the sculptures unsuitable, a new competition will be announced.
